All About the Project

Introduction

TeachTechWithGPT is designed to help high school educators effectively incorporate ChatGPT into their teaching methods. This AI-based tool can support academic work and reduce workloads, but it also raises concerns about academic integrity. The website fosters a community where educators can share experiences, resources, and strategies for using ChatGPT positively and responsibly.

Audience

The primary audience is high school educators in Surrey, BC, who are likely to face challenges related to students' heavy use of technology. By focusing on this group, the CoP can provide practical solutions tailored to high school curricula and facilitate local in-person meet-ups for deeper engagement.

Problem Statement

The introduction of ChatGPT has raised concerns among educators about cheating and the tool's impact on critical thinking. Despite available information, there's a lack of dedicated communities for educators to explore AI's potential collectively. TeachTechWithGPT addresses this gap by providing a platform for educators to collaborate, share resources, and support each other in using ChatGPT effectively.

Potential Benefits
